I had heard about Student Life before coming to university and wanted to be a part of their mission to share God's gift with other students on campus. Walk up evangelism is something I have always shied away from due to fear and not feeling good enough. However, when I joined Student Life I was able to give this to God and trust in him to use me.
In semester two, I was given the opportunity to become a CSL (Commited Student Leader). Through this, I have seen God work not only in my own life but also in the lives of other Student Life members and especially in reaching the lost students on our campus. One of the girls I met up with was keen to explore further. We met up regularly over the next two weeks and each time we met it was encouraging to see curiosity, openness and willingness to hear and discuss more.
Throughout my time in Student Life I have been really challenged in what a life living in full trust of God truly looks like, not just with the small stuff such as studies, but the big things such as his financial provision for conference and for his Spirit to work through relational evangelism. Trusting God in these has challenged me in my faith at times, but has grown me closer in my relationship and daily walk with the Lord.
